School Rules

1; students are prohibited to enter the following locations outside of class time, without teacher accompaniment or a signed note from a teacher:

• care of magical creatures shed

• greenhouse three

• kitchen

• potions stock room

• prefect’s bathroom (unless you are a prefect)

• teacher’s quarters (even when invited in by a teacher)

2; students must stay in their own common rooms and not enter others unless given permission from the headmaster

3; curfew for students on weekdays is 9:30pm

• this is excepting during special school events or when permission is given

4; weekend curfew is 11:00pm

5; students must be in their respective common rooms by these times

• any students caught wandering the corridors after curfew will be given a detention

6;alcoholic beverages, non-prescription drugs and weapons of any kind (excluding wands) are strictly prohibited

7; improper use of magic and duels outside of classes or supervised clubs is strictly prohibited

8; students must follow teacher’s instructions at all times

• if a student has any problems with instructions they have received, they are encouraged to speak to Headmaster Chapman

9; students are to use proper manners at all times

• if a student is caught badmouthing, making rude hand gestures or insulting another student, they will be referred to Headmaster Chapman

10; student/teacher relationships will not be tolerated

• staff members found to be engaging in inappropriate conduct with students will have their contract terminated immediately and will be referred to the Ministry’s Department of Law Enforcement

11; truancy will not be tolerated

• any student found wandering the halls during class time without a written note from a teacher will be sent back to class, given a detention and have house points deducted

12; all student living quarters have been set up the same way so as to keep everything fair

• no house is being treated better than the other house

13; students are able to choose one of the following animals to bring with them to Chapman Academy:

• cat

• frog

• rat

• owl

• snake

• dog – please not that no dogs larger than a beagle will be allowed onto the premises

• guinea pig

14; students found with more than one of these animals will be punished

• the animals will be removed from Chapman Academy – please think very carefully about which of these animals you want to bring with you

15; students are required to eat at their house table for the duration of dinner

• once dinner is over and dessert has been served, you may feel free to visit other tables

• during breakfast and lunch, you may sit wherever you’d like

16; breakfast will be served between the hours of 6:00am and 9:00am

17; lunch will be served between the hours of 12:00pm and 2:00pm

18; dinner will be served between the hours of 5.30pm and 7.30pm

19; students who miss any meals may speak to their head of house for permission to enter the kitchen

20; the school grounds are strictly off limits between the hours of 5:30pm and 7:00am

• students caught on the grounds after this time will be sent to the headmaster for punishment

• this is for the safety of the students

21; students are not permitted to visit Woodberg County during the week

• they are permitted to visit Woodbery County on weekends and during school holidays

22; students are advised to use the utmost caution when outside of Chapman Academy walls

• these are dark times, and while the faculty of Chapman Academy will do their absolute best to keep you safe, you are also responsible for your own safety

• Headmaster Chapman recommends a buddy system when leaving Chapman Academy grounds

Headmaster Chapman reserves the right to add, remove or change the school rules at any given time with absolutely no warning whatsoever.
